What EdBid collects, who can see it, and how it's protected.

Your SSN and W-9
EdBid never asks for your full Social Security number in a form field. You enter the last 4 digits. Your full number appears only on the W-9 PDF you upload, which is encrypted before it's stored. It is released only to purchasing staff at a school that awards you a contract, because that school needs it to pay you and file a 1099.
What we do with analytics
We use usage data to improve EdBid: which searches return nothing, which notices get attention, and where people drop off. We may publish aggregate market statistics (for example, “janitorial RFQs in Missouri drew 4.2 bids on average”). We don't sell personal information or share it with advertisers.
Your choices
You can update your registration anytime. To delete your account and data, use the suggestion box or contact EdBid. Records tied to awarded contracts are kept for 7 years, because schools and auditors rely on them.
