Terms & Fees

EdBid is a service operated by BlindBilling LLC (“EdBid”, “we”). During the pilot, no fees are collected, and nothing done on EdBid creates a binding purchase or contract. Pilot participants should upload only sample documents, never a real W-9 or tax ID.

The 1% success fee

• Searching, registering, following, and bidding are free.
• If you win a contract through sealed bidding on EdBid, you owe EdBid 1% of the final contract amount, meaning the total the school actually pays you. Change orders and partial payments are included as they're paid. It's never more than 1%.
• The fee is due within 30 days after you're paid. If the school never pays, or cancels before paying, you owe nothing.
• Payment is by ACH bank transfer. EdBid covers the processing cost.
• You agree to the fee each time you submit a bid, with the exact dollar amount shown.
• No fee applies to awards made outside EdBid bidding, or to notices that only link to a school's own process.
• Schools pay nothing during the pilot.

What EdBid is and isn't

• EdBid hosts notices and sealed bids. The institution runs its procurement, chooses the winner, and signs its own contract and purchase order with the vendor.
• EdBid doesn't guarantee that any institution will pay. It publishes payment-speed reports so you can judge for yourself.
• Posting on EdBid doesn't replace any public notice an institution's policy or state law requires.
• Information you enter must be accurate. EdBid may suspend accounts that misrepresent identity, authority, or credentials.
